The Canadian Opera volunteer Committee is a non-profit volunteer organization committed to:

• promoting and supporting opera and in particular the Canadian Opera Company through fund raising initiatives;

• providing fiinancial assistance and opportunities to students and graduates of schools of music placing particular emphasis on the Opera Division of the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto;
• offering membes special opportunities to experience operatic events;

• maintaining contacts with other operatic volunteer organizations in North America and internationally;

• raising money by way of donations, sponsorships, sales;  the acceptance of gifts, legacies, devices and bequests; and holding, investing, expanding or dealing with same in the furtherance of its objectives.
