Membership Categories and Responsibilities

Active Membership - $75.00

• Pay an annual fee as designated.
• Endeavour to purchase one subscription to the Canadian Opera Company each season.
• Attend General Meetings.
• Participate in at least one project of the Committee each year.
• Full voting rights.
• May stand for office and chair committees.  

Sustaining Membership - $125.00

• Give an annual donation as designated. (COVC scholarships are drawn from this fund. A tax receipt is issued.)
• No commitment to attend meetings or work on projects.
• Full voting rights.  

Benefactor and Patron Memberships - $500.00 and $1000.00

• Give an annual donation as designated for scholarships. A tax receipt is issued.
• Have no commitment to attend meetings or work on projects.
• Have full voting rights.

Non-Resident Membership - $40.00

• Reside at least one hundred kilometres away from Toronto.
• Pay an annual fee as designated.
• Have no commitment to attend meetings or work on projects.
• Have no vote.

Honourary Membership

• Are appointed by the Board for rendering notable service to the Committee or to opera in Canada.
• Are not required to pay any membership fees, dues or donations.
• Have no commitment to attend meetings or work on projects.
• Have no vote.
