COVC Jean A. Chalmers Award Application Guidelines

National and international competitions are eligible to apply for prizes for Canadian prizewinners.  The guidelines for the COVC Jean A. Chalmers Award are as follows:

1. Canadian or international competitions which invite the participation of Canadian and/or international competitors may apply
2. The award will only be awarded for vocal excellence to a Canadian national or landed immigrant
3. The jury of the competition is to be made up of recognised experts in the field of classical vocal performance
4. The amount of the award will be determined by the COVC Jean A. Chalmers Award Committee and the representatives of the competition
5. The competition committee should submit an application to the COVC before the promotional material for the competition goes to print, as this will enable the maximum exposure for the award
